Recently, many student residents have commented regardingthe lack of availability late in the evening in the R-1 parking lot. Students reported feeling frustrated by thelack of available space and were also not aware that they had parking optionsoutside of the R-1 lot.
We want to take this opportunity to remind all residentstudents that there are alternate lots available to the R-1 parking lot. Residential parking lot R-2 (at the south endof Grand Ave. near the traffic light) has 825 parking spaces, 600 of which areregularly open. In addition, both parking structures at PCV are an option for allresidents with valid parking permits.
Traditionally, more resident students choose to return tocampus with their vehicles after spring break. We anticipate the R-1 lot to reach capacity on a regular basis nextquarter. We want to make sure that resident students know their parking optionsand make safe choices when returning to campus late in the evening.
